In 2023, for the 110th Tour de France, Morzine will host a stage finish on July 15 (starting from Annemasse) with the ascent of 2 passes around Morzine: the Col de la Ramaz and the famous Col de Joux Plane, before descending to Morzine and the finish line of the 14th stage. Six days before, amateur riders will have the chance to ride exactly the same stage as the professionals during the Etape du Tour.
On July 9, 2023, amateur cyclists will have the chance to ride exactly the same stage as the professionals during the Etape du Tour. The riders will start from Annemasse and will do the same route as the riders of the Tour de France, namely the Col de la Ramaz and the famous Col de Joux Plane!
L'Etape du Tour offers amateur cyclists the opportunity to ride one of the mountain stages of the Tour de France under the same conditions as the Tour. It is the only cyclosportive race where the roads are completely closed to traffic.
After a few years’ absence, the Tour de France is making its return to Morzine. On Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 July 2022, the Tour de France will pass through Morzine. After arriving in Châtel on Sunday 10 July 2022, the Tour de France cyclists will have a day’s rest in Morzine before setting off again on Tuesday from our resort! What a pleasure it will be back!
From 14 to 17 July 2022, the Harleys will be back in Morzine for motorbike and music fans! Indeed, after a year 2021 without our biker friends because of the health crisis, the Harleys Days of Morzine-Avoriaz make their “come back”!
